Dr. DaBell offers a comprehensive program called TruDenta for patients suffering from chronic pain related to headaches, migraines, TMJ/D, tinnitus and other pains of the head, neck, face and jaw. Using a combination of sports therapy techniques, neuroscience and advanced dental concepts, Dr. DaBell is able to evaluate and treat patients with pain resulting from improper muscle forces in the mouth, neck and head area.

Using the TruDenta system, Dr. DaBell will conduct a 30 minute evaluation of a patient’s teeth, muscles and joints and detect the force imbalances leading to the pain and dysfunction. Based on the data, he will provide patients with individualized therapy tailored to their specific condition. Rehabilitation of the muscles and nerves causing the pain is a combination of in-office treatments and at-home care. The treatment is painless with NO needles or drugs involved.

Symptoms Treated with TruDenta:

  • Headaches & Migraines – For years, common headache treatments have overlooked the role that the mouth, jaws and bite alignment play in triggering frequent headaches and migraines. The misalignment of jaws can create pressure that radiates pain throughout the head.
  • TMJ Disorder – TMJ results from excessive wear to the temporomandibular joint, the “hinge” of the jaw, which can lead to a number of issues relating to the teeth and jaws. Grinding or clenching of the teeth can cause pain throughout the entire neck.
  • Earaches – If you’ve suffered from recurrent earaches that don’t go away with antibiotics, your earaches may be caused by dental force issues. TMJ and misalignment of teeth in the back of the mouth near the ear, can radiate pain throughout the area.
  • Tinnitus – Also called “ringing in the ears”, tinnitus is indicative of TMJ/D. Some of the nerves in the jaw area overlap nerves responsible for hearing. When nerves are overwhelmed with muscle pain, they can interfere with hearing.
  • Additional Symptoms – unbalanced dental forces can also cause muscle tension, sensitive teeth, broken teeth or dental work, uneven tooth wear and cracking, limited range of head/neck motion, reduced mouth opening range, accelerated bone loss in periodontal disease and vertigo.
